1992 Moto Guzzi Daytona 1000

We do like an interesting bike, here in the Mews and this is all of that

Produced when Guzzi were at an all time low in terms of sales volumes this represents a timeless opportunity to get one of their very best bikes from the latter period

With just 2 owners since new in October 1992 - the second since May 1993 - this machine is in incredibly wonderful condition

Supplied new by Official Moto Guzzi dealership, Three Cross Motor Cycles in Wimborne, chassis number KA11377 retains her original instruction manual and stamped service log too

Copious paperwork records confirm the regular maintenance lavished upon her - for instance the Cam Belts were changed in September 2015, together with a new fuel pump (£400 for the pump!) and nominal mileage has been covered since then

Earlier in the ownership use was much more frequent, where stories of tours to Le Mans & Scandinavia abound - actually as do tales of trips to the Isle of Man where participants used her for recci's before their race, as the performance and handling are much to their liking

Many performance upgrades have been introduced to this example, all carefully chosen not to upset long term reliability, most notable being the rather smart looking and sounding exhausts in carbon fibre

Not to be confused with an abused example, this Moto Guzzi starts on the button and purrs instantaneously whereupon a smooth input of throttle will see her bound up the road with great alacrity

Not for the faint hearted, and yet a wonderfully responsive ride and sure to go up in value in the years to come
