1974 Jaguar E type V12 Roadster - 20.000 miles ONLY
An absolute pin sharp example with just 4 owners from new and a complete log of restoration over an 8 year period, finishing in 1986 - as the then owner admits this was carried out more as an act of love than of necessity.
He had purchased her from the well known Swanmore Garage in Bournemouth whilst on holiday and started to polish the engine bay - before he knew it, this had led to that, and then the other!!!! Anyway after he had finished he entered her into a Jaguar Concours Event, and Won the Sir William Lyons Commemorative Plaque for Best E Type - how good is that!!!
He had laboured for 16.000 hours on the job and spent 60.000 - a considerable sum in those days
Today with just 2 subsequent and carefull owners she has moved on from the 9,894 miles when he purchased her as the second owner in 1978 to 20.074
The third owner bought her in 1991, from Official Jaguar Dealers Mann Egerton at 12.102 miles and the last owner bought her in 2008 at 19.058 miles
An independant report carried out in 2009 confirms, in the Engineers own words, that "the car drives very well and is in extremely good condition - I could see that this car is unique in that it has seen many hours of maintenance and restoration"
Finished in a wonderfull period colour of Sable with cinnamon hide interior, hood, hood cover and most unusually, full tonneau too, she comes with a complete history file and, of course, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, confirming her UK RHD provenance
